BOSTON RADON

Services

Free Radon Consultation

So, you've completed the initial radon test, and have found that the radon levels in your home are potentially dangerous. Don't worry -- we're here to help.

During your free consultation, the Boston Radon team will visit your home to determine the best mitigation system for your unique property. We'll perform a quick inspection of your basement and the areas outside of your home or property that would be affected by the system installation. After we've done this, we'll be able to give you an accurate estimate for the installation itself, and get an appointment on the calendar to come back to perform the installation with our team.

Radon Mitigation System Installation

During the installation, the Boston Radon team will install a sub-slab radon mitigation system that meets or exceeds all EPA guidelines, local and state building codes.

The installation includes a sub-slab depressurization (SSD) system, which is drilled through your basement slab. Then, we'll run a PVC pipe from the collection point we install in the basement, to a single pipe in the rear foundation wall. We'll install a radon duct fan outside near ground level along with an exhaust vent pipe that will run up beside your downspout near the roof.

Finally, we'll seal the existing sump chamber to ensure that the pressure field we've established extends under the slab, and we'll install a meter with label and information sheet so that the fan's operation can be easily monitored.
